Embossing and debossing go hand in hand with one another because they are both similar print finishing techniques. Embossing is when a raised impression is produced on paper or card stock and debossing is when a depressed impression is produced on paper or card stock. Die Cutting

Using a steel rule die, irregular shapes can be cut into paper or card stock. Both custom dies and standard dies are used for this print finishing process, and this is a great way to get a stunning design for whatever it is you are having printed. Foil Stamping

Wafer Sealing

If you are wondering what a wafer seal is, chances are you have already seen many of them. These are self-adhesive paper discs that will seal an envelope or another paper-like material. They are especially useful for mailers and other self-mailing documents.

Affixing and Tipping

Another word for this print finishing technique is “onserting.” This is when items like plastic cards, magnets, sample packs and other similar items are glued onto direct mail pieces, packages, backers and more. This is yet another great way to grab someone’s attention or to give them a sample of a product you sell.
