What is Hot Stamping?

Hot stamping is a technique that transfers pre-dried ink or foils to a surface using high temperatures. While it is mostly used on plastic and paper, hot stamping can be used on other materials as well. This process is done by using a die in a hot stamping machine. The material you choose is then placed beneath the “stamp” and pressed firmly down. Next, a painted or metalized roll-leaf carrier is placed between the separate entities and the die is pressed down through it.
